Why Microsoft for identity and access

Identity you already have

If your organization runs Microsoft 365, Entra ID is already the front door to most of your applications.

One place for access decisions

Conditional Access evaluates user, device, location, and risk on every sign-in, and applies the same rules everywhere.

Governance inside the platform

Entra ID Governance handles access requests, approvals, reviews, and lifecycle workflows without a separate governance product.

Cloud and on-premises together

Entra ID and Microsoft Identity Manager cover both, which matters when core systems are not moving to the cloud.

Do you already own more Entra than you use?

Most Nordic organizations already have Microsoft identity features they are not fully using, from Conditional Access to access reviews and lifecycle management.

Cloudworks helps you make better use of the Microsoft identity tools you already have, turning them into support for your risk, compliance, and daily operations.

Functionality

Microsoft Entra, formerly Azure AD, covers authentication, authorization, governance, and protection for people, workloads, and agents in one platform.

AI agents and workloads need managed identities

Agents, service principals, and workloads sign in, hold permissions, and reach data in the same systems as employees, usually with no owner and no review cycle.

Microsoft Entra Agent ID extends registration, Conditional Access, and governance to agent identities, so the same controls apply to non-human access.

On-premises identity with Microsoft Identity Manager

Microsoft Identity Manager connects identity data across Active Directory, HR systems, databases, and on-premises applications, while also managing certificate and smart card lifecycles. Many organizations still rely on it today.

Microsoft will end support in January 2029, and there is no direct replacement. Some capabilities can move to Entra ID Governance, while others require a different solution.

We help you assess what can move, what needs to change, and what should replace each part.
